I honestly think that this was a side effect the pharmaceuticals did not anticipate. Consider this–if COX-2 is essential for bone healing, how does this impact on patients with osteoporosis?? What about the seniors, a group with higher use of COX-2 selective inhibitors due to higher prevalence of arthritis? Hold tight–the house of cards may come tumbling down soon…
