Metabolic Syndrome: Early Identification and a Proactive Approach Are Warranted
In case you don’t believe me, this editorial on the above article puts estimated population with metabolic syndrome at 25%. One quarter of the population has an underlying physiologic defect that is wreaking havoc on their health. Most are blissfully unaware or, worse, being treated symptomatically for high cholesterol–thereby hiding one of the easiest risk factors pointing to metabolic syndrome.
